Today, Papua New Guinea stands among the world’s leading gold-producing nations, ranking within the top 20 globally. Its gold industry has helped shape modern Papua New Guinea — supporting employment, infrastructure, regional development, and enduring international partnerships.
Gold is one chapter in a broader national story. Papua New Guinea is also a significant exporter of oil and natural gas, helping meet regional energy needs.
PNG’s sustainably managed fisheries supply tuna to global markets, while copra and coconut products reflect centuries of trade and resilience. Coffee from the highlands — grown largely by smallholder farmers — carries the flavour and pride of local communities to the world.

How to change the ink cartridge
- Close the pen as shown in the video.
- Pull the gold pointed end out from the pen enclosure.
- Twist the black knob to extract the pen ink cartridge.
- Insert the new replacement cartridge and twist it back into place.
- Insert and push the gold pointed end of the pen back into the pen enclosure.
